GOLDEN TEMPLE

The golden temple is Sikhism`s holiest site. It's a spiritually peaceful place especially inn early morning. Here all piligrams and visitors to the complex must remove the shoes, wash there feet and cover their heads. The architecture of this temple is a blend of hindu and muslim styles. The golden dome represents an inverted lotus flower said to symbolise Sikhism`s concern with the problems of the world. In the middle of golden temple there is a amrit sarover , main part of golden temple which called hari mandir sahib (darbar sahib) is stand in middle of amrit sarover. an intresting point is that hindu temples face east and muslim mosques face west while hari mandir is aligned between two.
