SRI VEERBHADRA SWAMY TEMPLE (LEPAKSHI)
 
Lepakshi is the legendary name of a small village where the vijayanagara kings built the unique Nandi, nagalinga and veerabhadra swamy temple in early 16th century. The temple known for its brilliant architecture and grandeur, houses one of the largest monolithic nandis in country.

This temple is famous for its beautiful paintings drawn on the ceilings of the Ardhamandapa and natyamandapa.Legend has it that lord shiva and goddess parvati got married at the same spot where the existing kalyana mandapam of temple.

How to reach

This temple is situated in lepakshi, village of anantpur districT just 80 km from Banglore which is well connected with all over India.
